What I’ve been watching on Youtube!

Hey friends,

Welcome back!

This month I wanted to share with you a few YouTube channels that I think are very insightful. If you’ve read my previous blog posts, you’ll have seen I’ve shared some of my favourite Christian YouTube channels. Those channels are amazing and if you haven’t already please check them out.

Over the years, I’ve found so many channels I’ve grown to love. YouTube is such a great place to discover new people with different perspectives and learn about different topics. Of all of them, here are just a few I want to share as I think they’ve been among the channels that have added major value to me.

Let’s get started!

The roommates podcast  –

I have absolutely no clue how I stumbled across this channel and what the first video I watched was. However, once I started watching a few video’s I became a regular view.

Who are they? –  Hafeez and Chris are the hosts of this podcast-style YouTube channel based in Huston Texas.

What do they talk about? – Their channel has a huge range of conversation topics mainly covering, many topics surrounding lifestyle, love, and financial advice. Surprisingly this channel Is directed toward men though I think every person between the ages of eighteen right up into their thirties can benefit from watching.

Why do I like their content? It’s relatable and relevant. I have seen the growth in their content and conversations. They have a very casual yet informative style of sharing their content. Throughout the years they’ve had a range of guests from everyday people to a few familiar faces within the public eye such as sexologist Shan Boody, psychologist Dr. Jordan B Peterson, and Hollywood pastor Devon Franklin.

A video you should watch –

The feminine fancy

Felica is my absolute favourite! Please, if you haven’t already check out my blog post on femininity where I mention her channel briefly and share my views on femininity in more context. It’s such a breath of fresh air to see a young, black and classy woman on YouTube who still believes in feminine values and lives by them daily. She lives confidently in her truth and is brave enough to show us that she’s still figuring some things out. I’m extra passionate about this channel because I feel on a personal level we need more elegant well informed black female content creators who have pure core values and live by them daily.

Who are they?

The feminine fancy also known as Felicia is a Youtuber with a background in dance and beauty pageants from the bay area (aka San Francisco). What initially drew me to her channel was her unique content on femininity Especially for women of colour. I believe I first discovered her channel back in 2020 during the Coivd-19 pandemic and have been a loyal subscriber ever since. She also has a patron page which I am part of too.

What do they talk about? Feminity, lifestyle and homemaking, and some vlogs

Why do I like their content? I believe Felicia’s content is very unique and fills a niche a lot of us black needed on YouTube. It’s been amazing watching her channel over the years and seeing her growth it’s like watching a journey from twenty into womanhood femininity.

A Video you should watch –

The school of greatness

Who is he? – Lewis Howes is a legend. 39-year-old Howes is a former professional football player, author, and entrepreneur. I would never want to undersell his brand and what he’s created. If you haven’t heard of him, you’re missing out on life. His YouTube channel is filled with a multitude of interviews exploring a wide range of topics in everyday life.

What do they talk about? I think what makes Lewis so unique is his open and genuine personalityHowes is very personable and his content is very thought-provoking. His channel has many videos ranging from interviews exploring books, health, sports, and relationships.

Why do I like their content? I like that this channel is very diverse and there is something for everyone regardless of their age, gender, or race. His channel is very inclusive for people from all walks of life. Similar to the roommates’ podcast Howes has an even great amount of guest appearances from public figures and celebrities. Basketball player Dwayne wade, Comedian Kevin hart, and famous author Robert Greene. After watching at least one video you are more enlightened.

A video you should watch –

I am 100% certain that you will take something great away from each of these channels. I truly do hope you take some time out to check them out as well.

What are some of your favourite youtube channels? Please share 🙂

Lots of love CMS
